My last project at my internship at UNIT Arkitektur involved transforming an interior space, and I opted to focus on a residential area within the Björkris project. My task was to create a concept and showcase its potential use. Initially, I aimed for a straightforward design akin to what real estate professionals might use for advertisements.
Selecting a style proved challenging until a colleague introduced me to "Apartamento," a magazine described as an "everyday life interior magazine." Drawing inspiration from its portrayal of diverse home styles and lifestyles, I decided to compare the "simple" representation suitable for advertising and one more authentic, lived-in perspective.
In this endeavor, I explored various homes and used elements to strike a balance between uniqueness and a homely ambiance, avoiding to go too far out of the box.
I specifically focused on interpreting the interconnected kitchen and living room, aiming to introduce a compelling angle to the overall design.
